Slow Cooker Rotisserie Chicken

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 total rooster (about four lbs.)- neck and giblets removed
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 3 teaspoons smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons dried parsley
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • ½ teaspoon freshly floor black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt (more or less-to taste)

INSTRUCTIONS

Spray sluggish cooker with cooking spray. Roll four balls of aluminum foil and location on the backside of greased sluggish cooker (to use as rack for fowl so the juices will continue to be in the backside of gradual cooker underneath the chicken).
Remove neck and goblet from the chicken, rinse the fowl with water and pat dry with paper towels.
In a small bowl, whisk collectively salt pepper and seasonings. Rub seasoning combine all over fowl skin.
Place the fowl on pinnacle of the aluminum foil. Cover with the lid and cook dinner on low for 7-7.5 hours, or on excessive for 4-4.5 hours till the rooster is cooked thru and reaches an inside temperature of one hundred sixty five F.
Carefully eliminate the hen from the sluggish cooker (it’s very soft and it should fall apart).
Serve the rooster as desired.
If you prefer crispier skin, location the hen on a baking sheet and broil for 3-5 minutes.
