Blackberry Cobbler is the final summer season dessert. Fresh juicy blackberries are baked into a luscious filling, then topped with a golden, candy biscuit topping. This southern dessert is ideal with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top!
INGREDIENTS
FILLING
- 5 cups clean blackberries
- 1/2 cup white granulated sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
TOPPING
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup white granulated sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 cup all cause flour
- 1 half tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
INSTRUCTIONS
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a deep dish pie plate or 13×9 inch baking dish with butter or cooking spray and set aside.
- Combine the blackberries, half cup sugar, and vanilla extract in a massive bowl and combine till the berries entirely soak up the sugar and are evenly coated. Pour into the organized baking dish.
- Beat the melted butter, sugar, and egg in a medium sized bowl till combined.
- Add in the flour, baking powder, and salt and beat simply till combined. Spread the batter evenly over the top of the blackberries, the usage of the lower back of a spoon or a rubber spatula to assist unfold out the batter.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, till fruit is bubbly and crust is golden. Serve heat with vanilla ice cream on top. Enjoy!
