-
¼ cup apple cider vinegar
-
½ cup granulated sugar
-
1 tsp celery seed
-
½ tsp mustard seeds
-
½ tsp salt
Instructions
1. Prepare the Vegetables
Slice your fresh jalapeños and onions and place them in a clean glass jar (a pint-sized mason jar works perfectly).
2. Make the Pickling Brine
In a small saucepan, combine the white vinegar, apple cider vinegar, sugar, celery seed, mustard seeds, and salt.
3. Heat the Brine
Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, stirring until the sugar fully dissolves.
4. Pour Over the Jalapeños
Carefully pour the hot brine into the jar over the jalapeños and onions until they are completely submerged.
5. Let It Rest
Allow the jar to sit at room temperature for 1 hour, then seal it with a lid.
6. Refrigerate and Enjoy
Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight before serving for the best flavor. These pickles stay fresh for up to 2 weeks.
