Slow Cooker Pork Chops with Potatoes and Onions

Imagine coming domestic to the tantalizing aroma of gentle pork chops, flawlessly pro and slow-cooked to fall-off-the-bone perfection. This sluggish cooker recipe transforms easy elements like onions, potatoes, and bone-in pork chops into a hearty and comforting meal with minimal effort. The onions lay a flavorful foundation, whilst the potatoes add a fulfilling heartiness that enhances the succulent pork chops beautifully.

 

INGREDIENTS

  • two onions, thinly sliced
  • 5 potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 2 kilos bone-in pork chops
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup poultry broth
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup white wine
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • 2 total sprigs clean thyme
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Slow Cooker Pork Chops with Potatoes and Onions

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Arrange the thinly sliced onions at the backside of a 6-quart gradual cooker.
2. Layer the sliced potatoes over the onions.
3. Season the pork chops generously with salt and pepper, then location them on pinnacle of the potatoes.
4. In a small bowl, whisk collectively the warm poultry broth, brown sugar, white wine, soy sauce, and ketchup. Pour this combination evenly over the pork chops and greens in the sluggish cooker.
5. Tuck the sprigs of thyme round the pork chops.
6. Cover and set the sluggish cooker to low. Cook for 6 to eight hours till the pork chops are tender.
7. Remove the thyme sprigs and discard them. Evenly sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the pork chops and vegetables.
