TACO STUFFED SHELLS

HOW TO MAKE FILLED TACO SHELLS

Start by bringing a large pot of water to a boil.Cook the mussels according to the package instructions and drain well. Meanwhile, brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat. When the browning process is about halfway done, add the onion and continue cooking until the meat is browned and the onions are soft. Then drain the excess fat from the pan.

Now add the taco seasoning and water to the minced meat mixture and simmer for about 10 minutes.Then add the sauce and stir. Remove from heat and let cool for a few minutes. Once cooled, add half of each cheese.

Next, pour the seasoned taco meat mixture into the shells and place in a single layer in a pot. Top with remaining shredded cheese, diced tomatoes, and chopped jalapeños.Bake covered for about 20 minutes. Then uncover and bake for another 5 minutes. For best results, serve promptly.
