Cinnamon Apple Pie Bread

I have to admit that I definitely regret the end of summer with blueberries, strawberries, and peaches, but the end of summer and the beginning of the fall season are much easier to swallow given the abundance of fresh apple dessert recipes. I love this apple cinnamon cake bread.

I usually prefer berries when it comes to fruit, but this season I’m going to teach myself to love apples equally. Why am I weird and don’t love apples?I started my apple phase by baking this Cinnamon Apple Pie Bread using a recipe I wrote down in my trusty cookbook a while back. It has all the flavors of an apple pie but in bread form. Is anyone else a bigger fan of dessert bread than cake?

I have eaten at least one slice of this bread for breakfast, dessert and snack. I just couldn’t get enough of it and it can be eaten any time of day, like my apple cider cupcakes.

This is an incredibly moist bread that I think is perfect to start a day of apple picking or a Thanksgiving morning. As you can imagine, the smell in my house while baking was heavenly. I liked the change in texture that came from dicing the apples instead of pureeing them like many recipes call for.Yes, this Apple Cinnamon Pie Bread is the stuff my fall dreams are made of, my friends. Bring apples, pumpkins, and various shades of brown and orange.

Ingredients:

1 can apple pie filling, crushed
1 yellow cake mix
4 eggs, lightly beaten
1 cup flour
1 tablespoon cinnamon
1 medium apple, chopped

Preparation:

Whisk all ingredients until dry, add the wet ingredients. Add the apples. Pour into 2 greased loaf pans. Sprinkle sugar and cinnamon on top. Bake in the oven at 325° for 35 to 45 minutes.Cool down and enjoy.
