INGREDIENTS

  • two slices of thick white bread or Texas toast
  • 2 tbsp marinara sauce
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 6 slices of pepperoni (optional)
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning or sparkling basil
  • Extra virgin olive oil for brushing

 

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Preheat your air fryer to 360°F (182°C).
2. Brush every bread slice gently with olive oil on each sides.
3. Spread a tablespoon of marinara sauce on one aspect of every slice.
4. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella evenly over the sauce.
5. Add pepperoni slices if using, and sprinkle with Italian seasoning or torn sparkling basil.
6. Place the organized bread slices in the air fryer basket. Make certain they do not overlap for even cooking.
7. Cook in the air fryer for about 5-7 minutes, or till the cheese is bubbly and the edges of the bread are crisp.
