Blackberry Lavender White Chocolate Scones are a pleasant twist on the traditional scone recipe. These tender, buttery pastries are studded with juicy blackberries, aromatic lavender, and creamy white chocolate chunks, making them a honestly indulgent treat.
INGREDIENTS
For the Scones:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3 tbsp granulated sugar
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp kosher salt
- 1/2 cup bloodless salted butter, shredded
- 1/2 cup bloodless cream or buttermilk, plus greater for brushing
- 1 giant egg, beaten
- 1 cup sparkling or frozen blackberries
- 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
For the Lavender Glaze:
- 1/2 cup entire milk
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp dried lavender
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup powdered sugar
INSTRUCTIONS
For the Scones:
Preheat the oven: Set your oven to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Mix dry ingredients: In a massive bowl, mix the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and kosher salt.
Add butter: Add the shredded bloodless butter to the flour combination and toss to combine.
Add moist ingredients: Pour in the bloodless cream or buttermilk and the overwhelmed egg. Mix gently till simply combined.
Fold in extras: Carefully fold in the blackberries and white chocolate chips.
Shape the dough: On a floured surface, pat the dough into a 1-inch thick square. Cut into squares and area them on the organized baking sheet.
Brush with cream: Lightly brush the tops of the scones with a bit of greater cream or buttermilk.
Bake: Bake for 20-22 minutes or till the scones are golden brown.
For the Lavender Glaze:
Warm the milk: In a small saucepan, heat the complete milk and butter over medium heat.
Add lavender: Add the dried lavender and let it steep for 5 minutes.
Strain and mix: Strain the combination to get rid of the lavender, then stir in the vanilla extract and powdered sugar till smooth.
Drizzle: Drizzle the glaze over the heat scones. Enjoy!
