Irish Bread

Preparation 10 min
Cooking 30 min

INGREDIENTS

  • one hundred eighty g White flour
  • 180 g Wholemeal flour
  • 0.5 tsp Baking soda
  • 0.5 tsp Baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp Salt
  • 25 cl Milk

 

PREPARATIONS

1. Preheat the oven to 210°C (gas mark 7).
2. Mix all the dry components in a massive bowl.
3. Make a properly in the centre and pour in most of the milk. four Mix till the dough is tender however no longer too wet, including the ultimate milk if necessary.
5. Knead it gently on a floured work surface, then structure it into an oval or spherical loaf.
6. Place it on an oiled baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes, then decrease the temperature to 180°C (gas mark 6) and prepare dinner for some other 15 minutes till the bread is golden and sounds hollow when you faucet it.
7. Place it on a rack and wrap it in a barely damp tea towel whilst ready to devour it.
TIPS For this Irish Bread recipe, you can depend on 10 minutes of preparation.
