Ingredients:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup raisins
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar (for dusting)
Instructions:
- Prepare the Pan:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease and flour a Bundt pan to prevent sticking.
- Mix Dry Ingredients:
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- Cream Butter and Sugar:
- In a large bowl, beat the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.
- Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Mix in the vanilla extract.
- Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients:
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the sour cream, beginning and ending with the dry ingredients.
- Mix until just combined.
- Add Raisins:
- Fold in the raisins evenly throughout the batter.
- Bake the Cake:
- Pour the batter into the prepared Bundt pan, spreading it out evenly.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Cool and Remove:
- Allow the cake to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes.
- Carefully invert the pan onto a wire rack to remove the cake and let it cool completely.
- Dust with Sugar:
- Once the cake is completely cooled, dust the top with powdered sugar for a finishing touch.
- Serve:
- Slice the cake and serve it as a delightful dessert or a sweet treat with your favorite beverage.
