Cheesy Bread Pastry Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (or a mix of your favorite cheeses)
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon dried herbs (optional, such as thyme, oregano, or rosemary)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
  2. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, and baking powder.
  3. Prepare Wet Ingredients: In a separate bowl, beat the eggs and then add the milk and melted butter, mixing until well combined.
  4. Combine Ingredients: Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  5. Add Cheese and Herbs: Fold in the shredded cheddar cheese, grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, and dried herbs (if using).
