Crockpot Pineapple Brown Sugar Glazed Ham

Ingredients:

  • 1 fully cooked, bone-in ham (6-8 pounds)
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1 can (20 ounces) crushed pineapple, undrained
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Ham:
    • Place the ham in the slow cooker, flat side down. If the ham is too large to fit, you can trim it slightly to fit.
  2. Make the Glaze:
    • In a medium bowl, combine the brown sugar, honey, crushed pineapple with its juice, Dijon mustard, ground cloves, ground cinnamon, ground ginger, and ground nutmeg. Mix well.
  3. Apply the Glaze:
    • Pour the glaze mixture over the ham, making sure to cover it well. Use a spoon to spread the mixture evenly.
  4. Cook the Ham:
    • Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 4-6 hours or until the ham is heated through and the glaze is caramelized. Baste the ham with the glaze occasionally to keep it moist and flavorful.
  5. Serve:
    • Once the ham is fully cooked, carefully remove it from the slow cooker and place it on a serving platter. Let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.
    • Drizzle some of the remaining glaze from the slow cooker over the sliced ham before serving.
