Baked Cheesy Beef Dip

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Sliced baguette or crackers, for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven:
    • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the Beef:
    • In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.
    • Add the chopped onion and garlic to the beef, and cook until the onion is translucent.
  3. Add Sauce and Seasoning:
    • Stir in the marinara sauce and Italian seasoning. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Simmer for about 5 minutes, then remove from heat.
  4. Prepare the Creamy Base:
    • In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and sour cream. Mix until smooth.
  5. Assemble the Dip:
    • Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly in the bottom of a baking dish.
    • Spread the beef mixture over the cream cheese layer.
    • Top with shredded mozzarella, cheddar, and Parmesan cheeses.
  6. Bake:
    • Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Serve:
    • Serve hot with sliced baguette or crackers for dipping.
