Chocolate Chip Cookie Pie
Ingredients:
- 1 unbaked 9-inch pie crust (store-bought or homemade)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
- Pinch of salt
Instructions:
- Preheat Oven:
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
- Prepare the Filling:
- In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until well combined.
- Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Stir in the vanilla extract.
- Add the flour and a pinch of salt, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips and nuts (if using).
- Assemble the Pie:
- Place the unbaked pie crust in a 9-inch pie pan.
- Pour the filling into the pie crust, spreading it evenly.
- Bake:
- Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the center is set.
- If the edges of the crust begin to brown too quickly, cover them with foil to prevent burning.
- Cool and Serve:
- Allow the pie to cool for at least 30 minutes before slicing.
- Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream, if desired.
