Ingredients:
- 1 pound (450g) mini sausages (like cocktail sausages or small breakfast sausages)
- 1 pound (450g) bacon, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup (50g) brown sugar (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper (optional)
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil for easy cleanup.
- Wrap the Sausages: Cut the bacon slices in half to create smaller strips. Wrap each mini sausage with a half strip of bacon, securing it with a toothpick.
- Optional Sweet & Spicy Coating: In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar, black pepper, and cayenne pepper. Roll each bacon-wrapped sausage in the sugar mixture, ensuring even coating.
- Bake: Place the bacon-wrapped sausages on the prepared baking sheet, making sure they are spaced apart. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy and the sausages are cooked through.
- Serve: Remove the sausages from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving. They can be served warm or at room temperature, with toothpicks for easy eating.
