Ingredients:

  • 2 egg yolks
  • 2 teaspoons water
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 package (17.3 ounces) Puff Pastry Sheets, thawed
  • 1/3 of a 12-ounce package semi-sweet chocolate pieces (about 3/4 cup)
  • 1 tablespoon confectioners’ sugar

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  2. In a small bowl, beat the egg yolks with water.
  3. Sprinkle flour on your work surface and unfold one of the puff pastry sheets. Roll it into a 16-inch square.
  4. Brush the pastry with the egg mixture, and cut it into 16 (4-inch) squares.
  5. Place 1 teaspoon of chocolate pieces in the center of each square.
  6. Fold the pastry over the filling to form a triangle, and crimp the edges with a fork to seal.
  7. Prick the tops of the pastries with a fork, then brush with the egg mixture.
  8. Place the pastries onto three baking sheets and freeze them for 15 minutes until firm.
  9. Bake for 15 minutes, or until the pastries turn golden brown.
  10. Sprinkle with confectioners’ sugar.
