It’s a perfect low-carb, protein-packed appetizer or main dish that’s bursting with bold flavors. With minimal oil and maximum crunch, this air fryer shrimp is an easy weeknight favorite.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined (tails on or off)

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 1/4 cup panko breadcrumbs

  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning

  • 1/4 tsp paprika

  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

  • Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions

Prep the Shrimp:

  1. Pat shrimp dry with paper towels.

  2. In a large bowl, toss shrimp with olive oil and minced garlic.

2. Coat with Parmesan Mixture:

  1. In a separate bowl, mix Parmesan, panko breadcrumbs, Italian seasoning, paprika, salt, and pepper.

  2. Add shrimp to the bowl and toss to coat evenly.

3. Air Fry:

  1. Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 2–3 minutes.

  2. Arrange shrimp in a single layer in the air fryer basket (work in batches if needed).

  3. Air fry for 6–8 minutes, flipping halfway through, until shrimp are cooked through and crispy.

4. Serve:

  1. Transfer shrimp to a serving platter.

  2. Garnish with chopped parsley and a squeeze of fresh lemon juice.

  3. Serve hot with extra lemon wedges or a dipping sauce of choice (like garlic aioli or marinara).

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, lightly spray shrimp with olive oil before air frying.

  • Use pre-cooked shrimp for faster prep—reduce cook time to 3–4 minutes.

  • You can swap panko for almond flour for a keto-friendly version.

  • Great served over pasta, rice, salad, or tucked into tacos.

  • Don’t overcrowd the air fryer; give shrimp space to crisp up evenly.
