Apple Fritter Bites

These Apple Fritter Bites are downright addictive little bites of doughy, apple-studded bliss that you may not be capable to give up munching on.

Prep Time: 15 minutes 
Cook Time: 15 minutes 
Total Time: 45 minutes 

 

INGREDIENTS

  • Nonstick cooking spray
  • 1 half of cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt
  • 2 tsp floor cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 massive egg
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1 half of cups finely diced Honeycrisp or Gala apples about two medium

Apple Cider Glaze:

  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/3 cup + two tbsp apple cider or juice

 

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F and grease a baking sheet with nonstick spray.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk collectively the flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. In a giant bowl, whisk the melted butter and sugar till combined. Then whisk in the egg, vanilla, and applesauce till smooth.
  4. Add the dry components to the moist elements and stir simply till combined. Gently fold in the diced apples.
  5. Scoop out 1 tbsp parts of batter and drop them a few inches aside onto the organized baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 10 minutes, then put off from oven and flip on broiler to high.
  7. Make the glaze through whisking collectively the powdered sugar and apple cider/juice till skinny and pourable.
  8. Brush some of the glaze over the heat fritter bites, letting it drip down the sides. Broil for 2-4 minutes, rotating the pan frequently, till the glaze starts offevolved to caramelize and bubble up.
  9. Remove from oven and brush the last glaze evenly over the tops of the fritters.
  10. Let sit down for 15 minutes to permit the glaze to set earlier than serving.
