Apple Salad

  • 4 large Honeycrisp apples, diced, see notes
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • ⅓ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 ½ tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 ribs of celery, thinly sliced ​​
  • 1 cup seeded red grapes, halved
  • ½ cup chopped walnuts
  • ½ Cup dried cranberries

Instructions

Mix the apple cubes with the lemon juice.
In a large bowl, combine mayonnaise and brown sugar. Add apples, celery, grapes, walnuts and cranberries. Toss to coat.
Before serving, cover and chill for at least 30 minutes.Notes
Enjoy this salad with your favorite crunchy apples. Experiment with new varieties to add to your classics and good substitutes.
Feel free to substitute red seedless grapes for your favorite seedless grapes. Just cut them in half. Read here how to quickly halve grapes.Prepare this salad up to 24 hours in advance and store in an airtight container in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
Replace the pecans with chopped walnuts, pistachios, macadamia nuts, pine nuts or sunflower seeds.
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
This salad does not freeze well.
