Blissful Banana Pudding Delights

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large egg yolks
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 2 ripe bananas, sliced
  • 1/2 cup vanilla wafers, crushed
  • Whipped cream for topping

In a saucepan, mix milk, sugar, cornstarch, and salt. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, till the combination begins to thicken and bubble.
In a small bowl, whisk the egg yolks. Gradually whisk in about half of cup of the warm milk combination to mood the yolks.
Slowly pour the tempered yolks returned into the saucepan, whisking constantly. Cook for an extra two minutes, till the pudding is thick and creamy.
Remove from warmness and stir in vanilla extract and butter till properly combined.
In serving cups, layer beaten vanilla wafers, observed by using slices of banana, and then pour the heat pudding over the top.
Refrigerate for at least two hours till set.
Top with whipped cream earlier than serving.
