Bok Choy with Ginger Chili Sauce
A flavorful and healthy Asian-inspired side dish, this stir-fried bok choy recipe is infused with garlic, ginger, chili, and a savory-sweet soy sauce glaze. Perfect for weeknight dinners or as a veggie-packed addition to your meal.
Ingredients:

1 pound fresh bok choy, washed and trimmed

2 tablespoons vegetable oil

3 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons fresh ginger, finely grated

2 red chili peppers, thinly sliced

3 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon rice vinegar

1 teaspoon sesame oil

1 tablespoon honey

Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

Prepare the bok choy:
Wash thoroughly and trim the ends. For larger pieces, slice in half lengthwise to ensure even cooking. -
Heat the oil:
In a large wok or skillet over medium-high heat, heat the vegetable oil. -
Add aromatics:
Stir-fry the garlic and ginger for 30 seconds until fragrant—don’t let them burn! -
Cook the bok choy:
Toss in the bok choy and stir-fry for 2–3 minutes, coating it in the aromatic oil. -
Mix the sauce:
In a small bowl, whisk soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and honey until well combined. -
Sauce and finish:
Pour the sauce over the bok choy and cook for another 2–3 minutes until tender-crisp. -
Season:
Add salt and pepper to taste. Sprinkle sesame seeds over the top if using. -
Serve:
Transfer to a serving dish and enjoy immediately while hot!
