2 lbs King Crab legs, thawed and split
-
½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
-
4 cloves garlic, finely minced
-
1 tablespoon lemon juice
-
1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning (optional)
-
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
-
Salt and pepper, to taste
-
Lemon wedges, for serving
Instructions
-
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
-
Prep the crab legs: Use kitchen shears to split the shells open for easier eating.
-
Make garlic butter:
In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook for 1–2 minutes until fragrant. Stir in lemon juice, Old Bay, salt, and pepper. Remove from heat and mix in parsley. -
Bake the crab legs:
Place crab legs in a baking dish. Pour the garlic butter sauce over them. Cover the dish with aluminum foil. -
Cook for 15–20 minutes, or until heated through.
-
Serve: Drizzle leftover butter sauce over the crab legs. Garnish with fresh parsley and lemon wedges.
Notes
-
No oven? You can grill the crab legs in foil packets for 10–15 minutes over medium heat.
-
Clarified butter gives a more intense, smooth flavor and doesn’t burn easily.
-
Fresh herbs like thyme or dill can be added for a unique twist.
-
Serve with warm crusty bread to soak up the delicious garlic butter sauce.
