Pure bliss!

 Quick Info

  • Prep Time: 10 minutes

  • Bake Time: 25 minutes

  • Total Time: 35 minutes

  • Yield: 12 bars

  • Calories: ~200 kcal per bar

 Ingredients

  • 1 box (15.25 oz) yellow cake mix

  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted

  • 1 large egg

  • 1 cup toffee bits (I use Heath bits, but any chopped toffee works!)

  • ½ cup chocolate chips (optional, but highly recommended)

  • ½ cup sweetened condensed milk

How I Make Them – Step by Step:

1. Preheat the Oven

Set your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper or grease it lightly.

2. Mix the Base Dough

In a big bowl, I combine the yellow cake mix with melted butter and the egg. Stir it up until the dough is thick and sticky.

3. Add the Toffee Magic

Fold in your toffee bits (and chocolate chips if you’re using them—I always do!). Make sure everything’s evenly spread through the dough.

4. Press and Pour

Press the dough evenly into the prepared pan. Then pour that luscious sweetened condensed milk over the top—it bakes into the most incredible caramelized layer!

5. Bake it Up

Pop the pan into the oven for 20–25 minutes. You’ll know it’s done when the top turns golden and a toothpick comes out mostly clean.

6. Cool & Slice

Let the bars cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice into squares and enjoy every single bite.
