Cheese Balls are a popular snack or appetizer, crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside. Made with a combination of potatoes, cheese, and seasonings, these cheesy bites are fried to golden perfection. Whether served at parties or enjoyed as a quick snack, cheese balls are always a crowd-pleaser. They can be customized with various cheeses and spices to suit your taste.

Ingredients:

  • 150g grated boiled potatoes
  • 50g processed cheese (grated)
  • 125g mozzarella cheese (grated)
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 egg (lightly beaten)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh herbs (parsley or cilantro)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Bread crumbs (for coating)
  • Oil for frying

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Mixture:
    • In a large mixing bowl, combine the grated potatoes, processed cheese, mozzarella cheese, flour, garlic powder, fresh herbs, salt, and pepper. Mix everything well until the ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  2. Form the Cheese Balls:
    • Take small portions of the mixture and roll them into round balls, about the size of a golf ball.
  3. Coat the Balls:
    • Dip each cheese ball into the beaten egg and then roll it in the bread crumbs until fully coated. Repeat with all the cheese balls.
  4. Fry the Cheese Balls:
    • Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, carefully place the cheese balls in the pan.
    • Fry the cheese balls in batches, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Fry until they are golden brown and crispy on all sides, about 2-3 minutes per batch.
  5. Drain and Serve:
    • Remove the cheese balls with a slotted spoon and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
    • Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.

Conclusion:

Cheese Balls are a delightful snack that combines crispy, golden exteriors with a soft, cheesy center. They are versatile and can be adapted with different cheeses or herbs to create your perfect bite. Enjoy them fresh and hot, and they’re sure to disappear quickly at any gathering!
