Cheeseburger Pie

Ingredients

  • 1 pre-made pie crust (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • 2 large eggs
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Sliced pickles and chopped green onions for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven:
    • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Prepare the Pie Crust:
    • Fit the pie crust into a 9-inch pie plate and crimp the edges. Set aside.
  3. Cook the Beef:
    • In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and chopped onion until the beef is browned and the onion is soft. Drain excess fat.
    • Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Assemble the Filling:
    • In a large bowl, mix together the cooked beef and onion, shredded cheddar cheese, milk, mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, and eggs. Stir until well combined.
  5. Fill the Pie:
    • Pour the beef mixture into the prepared pie crust, spreading it evenly.
  6. Bake:
    • Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes or until the filling is set and the top is golden brown.
  7. Garnish and Serve:
    • Let the pie cool for a few minutes before slicing.
    • Garnish with sliced pickles and chopped green onions if desired.
