Cheesy Beef Tortellini Bake
Ingredients:
- 1 pound beef stew meat or steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1 package (20 oz) cheese tortellini, fresh or frozen
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
Instructions:
- Cook the Beef:
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the beef pieces and cook until browned on all sides. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
- Prepare the Sauce:
- In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Pour in the marinara sauce and beef broth. Add the dried Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Stir to combine.
- Cook the Tortellini:
- Cook the cheese tortellini according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Assemble the Dish:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked beef, tortellini, and sauce. Mix well to ensure everything is coated with the sauce.
- Bake:
- Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese and grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Garnish and Serve:
- Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
