Cheesy Bread Pastry Recipe
Ingredients:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 cup whole milk
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (or a mix of your favorite cheeses)
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
- 1 teaspoon dried herbs (optional, such as thyme, oregano, or rosemary)
Instructions:
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
- Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, and baking powder.
- Prepare Wet Ingredients: In a separate bowl, beat the eggs and then add the milk and melted butter, mixing until well combined.
- Combine Ingredients: Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
- Add Cheese and Herbs: Fold in the shredded cheddar cheese, grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, and dried herbs (if using).
- Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish, spreading it out evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Cool and Serve: Allow the cheesy bread to cool slightly before cutting into squares or slices. Serve warm.
