Ingredients:

  • 2 sheets puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 cup fresh spinach, chopped
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Filling:
    • In a medium bowl, combine the chopped spinach, ricotta cheese, shredded mozzarella, grated Parmesan, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
    • Mix until all ingredients are well incorporated.
  2. Prepare the Pastry:
    • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
    • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
    • Roll out the thawed puff pastry sheets on a lightly floured surface to smooth out any creases.
  3. Assemble the Pastry Squares:
    • Cut each puff pastry sheet into equal squares, about 3 inches on each side.
    • Place a spoonful of the spinach and cheese mixture in the center of half of the squares.
    • Brush the edges of these squares with beaten egg.
  4. Seal the Pastry:
    • Place the remaining squares over the filling-topped squares, pressing the edges to seal.
    • Use a fork to crimp the edges and ensure they are sealed well.
  5. Bake the Pastry Squares:
    • Place the sealed pastry squares on the prepared baking sheet.
    • Brush the tops with the remaining beaten egg for a golden finish.
    • Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the pastry is puffed and golden brown.
  6. Serve:
    • Allow the pastries to cool slightly before serving.
    • Serve warm as an appetizer, snack, or side dish.

Tips:
