Cheesy Stuffed Lobster Tails

Ingredients

  • 2 large lobster tails
  • 1 cup (100g) shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup (50g) grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup (40g) cooked and crumbled bacon
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Lemon slices, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Lobster Tails:
    • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
    • Using kitchen shears, cut the top shell of the lobster tails lengthwise down the middle, stopping at the tail. Pull apart the shell slightly and gently lift the meat, placing it on top of the shell.
  2. Make the Cheesy Sauce:
    • In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
    • Stir in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Reduce the heat to low and add the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese. Stir until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth.
    • Mix in the cooked bacon, lemon juice, dried parsley, and season with salt and pepper to taste. Remove from heat.
  3. Stuff and Bake the Lobster Tails:
    • Place the lobster tails in a baking dish. Spoon the cheesy sauce over the lobster meat, covering it generously.
    • Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the lobster meat is opaque and cooked through, and the cheese is bubbly and lightly golden.
  4. Serve:
    • Garnish with lemon slices and additional parsley if desired.
    • Serve immediately with your choice of sides.

  • Cooking Time: Adjust cooking time based on the size of the lobster tails to ensure they are cooked through but not overcooked.
  • Variations: Add some chopped spinach or artichokes to the cheese mixture for added flavor and nutrition.
