This Chocolate Trifle is a rich and indulgent dessert featuring layers of moist brownies, fluffy whipped cream, creamy pudding, caramel drizzle, and crunchy toffee bits. It’s perfect for parties, holidays, or any special occasion!


Ingredients

For the Brownie Layer

  • 1 box brownie mix (plus required ingredients) or homemade brownies

For the Cream Layer

  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream (or 1 tub of whipped topping like Cool Whip)
  • ¼ cup powdered sugar (if making homemade whipped cream)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For the Pudding Layer

  • 1 package (3.9 oz) instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 2 cups cold milk

Additional Toppings

  • ½ cup caramel sauce
  • ½ cup toffee bits (such as Heath Toffee Bits)
  • Chocolate shavings or chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Brownies

  • Bake the brownies according to the package or homemade recipe.
  • Let them cool completely, then cut into bite-sized cubes.

2. Make the Pudding

  • Whisk the chocolate pudding mix with cold milk until smooth.
  • Let it sit for 5 minutes to thicken.

3. Prepare the Whipped Cream (Skip if using store-bought)

  • In a mixing bowl, beat heavy whipping cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until soft peaks form.

4. Assemble the Trifle

  • First Layer: Place half of the brownie pieces in the bottom of a trifle dish.
  • Second Layer: Spread half of the chocolate pudding over the brownies.
  • Third Layer: Add a layer of whipped cream.
  • Fourth Layer: Drizzle with caramel sauce and sprinkle with toffee bits.
  • Repeat: Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with whipped cream, caramel drizzle, and toffee bits on top.

5. Chill & Serve

  • Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving to allow the flavors to meld.
  • Serve chilled and enjoy this decadent dessert!
