I was planning on making homemade cinnamon rolls, but I forgot to thaw the cinnamon roll dough I made a few months ago. But you know you’re accomplishing a mission when you think of something you can do.
I remembered I had a few Pillsbury Crescent sandwiches in the fridge and thought, “Yeah, those will do.”
You’ll Need (for the crescents):
2 boxes of chilled croissants.
1 piece of soft butter.
½ cup white or brown sugar.
1 tablespoon cinnamon.
You will need (for the icing):
½ cup powdered sugar.
1 teaspoon vanilla.
2 tablespoons milk.
INSTRUCTIONS
In a small bowl, combine butter, sugar and cinnamon and stir until smooth.
Roll out the crescent-shaped dough into triangles and place on a baking tray.
I use 1 tablespoon for each triangle, you can use more if you like.
Roll up each triangle from the widest side and place the rolls on a baking sheet.
Cook in an oven preheated to 350° for 10-15 minutes.
To make the glaze, mix all the ingredients together, add enough milk to reach the desired consistency and pour onto the rolls while they are still hot.
