Creamed Chicken and Biscuits Casserole
Ingredients
- 1 ½ teaspoons butter
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 pounds cooked chicken, sliced or shredded
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- 1 cup milk
- ½ cup roasted red peppers, chopped
- 1 ½ cup cheddar cheese, mild
- 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough

How to make a cream of chicken biscuit casserole
STEP ONE:
Preheat the oven to 350*
Grease the bottom and sides of a baking dish
STEP TWO:
Heat the butter in a frying pan Add the pan and add the onion
Sauté until the onion softens
THIRD STEP:
When ready, add the onion to the chicken, the milk, the red peppers and the mayonnaise
Pour into the prepared baking dish
FOURTH STEP:
Bake for 15 minutes and then remove from the oven.
Sprinkle with 1 cup cheese and then place the crackers on top of the cheese.
FIFTH STEP:
Sprinkle with the remaining cheese.
Place the casserole dish back in the oven and bake for a further 20 minutes or until golden brown.
STEP SIX:
Allow to rest for a few minutes before serving.
This can be a standalone meal or you can make a salad to go with this dish.
