Creamy Bowtie Pasta Salad

Ingredients

  • 8 oz bowtie pasta (farfalle)
  • 1 cup frozen peas, thawed
  • 1 cup diced ham
  • 1/2 cup diced red onion
  • 1 cup diced cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta:
    • Cook the bowtie pasta according to package instructions. Drain and rinse under cold water to cool.
  2. Prepare the Dressing:
    • In a large bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sour cream, apple cider vinegar, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  3. Combine Ingredients:
    • Add the cooked pasta, peas, ham, red onion, and cheddar cheese to the bowl with the dressing. Toss until everything is evenly coated.
  4. Chill and Serve:
    • Refrigerate the pasta salad for at least 1 hour to allow the flavors to meld. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving if desired.
