Crockpot chicken and gravy

Ingredients

  • 2 packages chicken gravy mix
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 can water
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon coarsely ground black pepper
  • (I didn’t measure the spices, just added a good amount
  • 3 whole boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about one pound)
  • 1/2 cup sour cream

Crockpot chicken and gravy
Season the chicken breasts with garlic powder, pepper, black pepper, and paprika and place in a slow cooker. Stir in water, sauce packet, and soup until smooth .
Pour the mixture over the chicken.
Cover and simmer for 4-5 hours.
(Mine cooked for 4.5 hours)
When ready, carefully remove the chicken, shredding or cutting as desired
Whisk the sour cream in the slow cooker until smooth and serve over the chicken.Season with additional salt and pepper if desired… I didn’t add anything else.
Serve with mashed potatoes, rice, stuffing or egg noodles.
