Garlic bread is one of our weaknesses, we admit that. But as much as we think about garlic bread, it’s nothing compared to what we think about cheesy garlic bread. This side dish is basically the perfect accompaniment to any meal: pasta dishes (if you really want a calorie bomb), meat recipes, holiday dinners, casual family dinners. It’s always delicious, perfect and so easy to make! If you’re looking for something that will give you power over the whole family (and anyone else who might try it), then bake this cheese bread and see what the masses will do for one more bite!

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf Italian bread
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, grated
  • 1 cup Romano cheese, coarsely grated
  • 1 tablespoon parsley, finely chopped

Instructions

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.Take a loaf of Italian bread and cut it in half lengthwise so you have two long halves.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the butter and garlic powder. In a separate bowl, mix the two types of cheese.
Brush both halves of bread with garlic butter, place on a baking sheet and bake for 8 to 10 minutes, or until lightly browned.
Remove the bread from the oven, sprinkle with mixed cheese and put it back in the oven.Cook for another 2-3 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
Allow to cool for 5 minutes, sprinkle with parsley, cut into slices and serve immediately.
Have fun!
