  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 pint of fresh strawberries
  • Water and oil as directed on the cake mix box

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Cake:
    • Preheat your oven as directed on the cake mix box.
    • Follow the instructions on the Betty Crocker Super Moist White Cake Mix box to prepare the batter, adding water, oil, and eggs.
    • Pour the batter into a greased and floured baking pan and bake as directed. Allow the cake to cool completely.
  2. Prepare the Pudding:
    • In a mixing bowl, prepare the Jell-O Vanilla Pudding Mix according to the package instructions. Allow it to set in the refrigerator.
  3. Prepare the Gelatin:
    • In a separate bowl, prepare the Jell-O Strawberry Gelatin Mix according to the package instructions and let it set in the refrigerator until it’s slightly thickened but not fully set.
  4. Assemble the Cake:
    • Once the cake is completely cooled, poke holes all over the top of the cake using the back of a wooden spoon.
    • Pour the slightly thickened Jell-O Strawberry Gelatin over the cake, allowing it to seep into the holes.
  5. Add the Toppings:
    • Spread the prepared Jell-O Vanilla Pudding evenly over the top of the cake.
    • Spread a generous layer of Cool Whip over the pudding layer.
  6. Garnish and Serve:
    • Wash and slice the fresh strawberries.
    • Arrange the strawberry slices on top of the Cool Whip layer.
    • Refrigerate the cake for at least 2 hours before serving to allow all the flavors to meld together.

Tips:

  • For an extra touch, sprinkle some crushed graham crackers or chopped nuts on top of the Cool Whip layer.
  • This cake can be made a day in advance and stored in the refrigerator, making it a convenient option for parties and gatherings.

Enjoy this delightful and refreshing strawberry pudding cake that combines the best of both worlds: cake and pudding!
