Glazed Cinnamon Bars

For the Bars:
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
For the Glaze:
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions:
- Preheat Oven:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- Make the Dough:
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- Combine Dry Ingredients:
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, ground cinnamon, and salt.
- Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients:
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Bake:
- Spread the dough evenly into the prepared baking pan.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the bars are golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Prepare the Glaze:
- While the bars are baking, mix together the powdered sugar, milk, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon in a small bowl until smooth.
- Glaze the Bars:
- Once the bars are done baking, remove them from the oven and let them cool for about 10 minutes.
- Drizzle the glaze over the warm bars, spreading it evenly with a spatula.
- Cool and Serve:
- Allow the bars to cool completely in the pan before cutting them into squares.
