Ingredients

For the Burgers:

  • 2 sesame seed burger buns (plus extra bottom bun for layering)

  • 2 beef patties per burger (thin and flat)

  • 2 slices of American cheese

  • ½ cup shredded iceberg lettuce

  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped onions

  • Dill pickle slices (optional but authentic)

  • Butter (for toasting the buns)

For the Special Sauce:

  • ½ cup mayonnaise

  • 2 tablespoons French dressing or ketchup

  • 1 tablespoon sweet pickle relish

  • 1 teaspoon yellow mustard

  • ½ teaspoon onion powder

Instructions
