Easy Ground Beef Gyros are so scrumptious and equipped in 30 minutes! Ground pork is flawlessly professional with a greek spice mixture then tucked internal of a tender pita with plenty of sparkling lettuce, tomato, cucumber, and pink onion. Finish the gyro with selfmade tzatziki sauce and feta cheese.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 teaspoon every dried oregano, floor thyme, floor cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ¼ teaspoon floor nutmeg
- 4 pitas
- Optional toppings: lettuce, sliced tomato, sliced cucumber, sliced pink onion, clean dill and feta cheese
Tzatziki sauce
¾ cup greek yogurt
¾ cup grated cucumber (I like to use an English cucumber)
2 tablespoons sparkling dill, finely chopped
½ tablespoon lemon juice
2 garlic cloves, minced
½ teaspoon salt
¼ cup feta cheese, crumbled
INSTRUCTIONS
- Add the floor pork to a skillet over medium-high warmth and cook dinner till browned, about 5-7 minutes. Add the seasonings and ½ cup of water. Simmer over medium warmness till the sauce has thickened round the meat, about 5 minutes.
- While the red meat cooks, make the Tzatziki sauce. Start through squeezing the immoderate liquid out of the grated cucumber, discarding the liquid. In a small bowl, combine the grated cucumber with the final ingredients.
- To bring together a gyro, layer a pita with lettuce, tomato, cucumber, onion, and floor beef, then end with tzatziki sauce, clean dill and feta cheese.
Enjoy.
