This Honey Glazed Ham is a show-stopping centerpiece for any holiday table. Its beautifully caramelized exterior and tender, juicy interior make it a favorite for festive gatherings. This recipe combines the sweetness of honey with savory spices to create a mouthwatering dish that will impress your guests.

Ingredients:

  • 1 fully cooked bone-in ham (about 10 pounds)
  • 1 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
  2. Prepare the Ham: Place the ham in a roasting pan. If desired, score the surface of the ham in a diamond pattern, about 1/4 inch deep.
  3. Make the Glaze: In a small saucepan, combine the honey, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, ground cloves, ground cinnamon, and ground nutmeg. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the sugar is dissolved and the mixture is well combined.
  4. Apply the Glaze: Brush half of the glaze over the ham, ensuring it gets into the scored areas.
  5. Bake the Ham: Cover the ham loosely with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 1 1/2 to 2 hours, or until heated through, basting occasionally with the pan juices.
  6. Caramelize the Glaze: Increase the oven temperature to 425°F (220°C). Remove the foil and brush the remaining glaze over the ham. Return the ham to the oven and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the glaze is caramelized and the ham is golden brown.
  7. Rest and Serve: Remove the ham from the oven and let it rest for 15-20 minutes before carving. This allows the juices to redistribute throughout the meat, ensuring every slice is moist and flavorful.

This Honey Glazed Ham is perfect for Christmas, Easter, or any special occasion. Serve it with your favorite sides, such as roasted vegetables, mashed potatoes, or a fresh green salad, for a complete and satisfying meal.
