Meaty Texas Trash Dip
Bold, cheesy, and packed with flavor – this hot and hearty dip is loaded with ground beef, creamy beans, and gooey cheese. Perfect for parties, game nights, and gatherings!
Ingredients:

1 lb ground beef (or ground sausage for a spicy kick)

1 packet taco seasoning mix

1/4 cup water
-
1 (8 oz) block cream cheese, softened

1 cup sour cream
-
1 (16 oz) can refried beans
-
1/2 cup salsa (any variety you love)

1 (4 oz) can diced green chiles, drained

2 cups shredded Mexican cheese blend, divided
-
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
-
1/2 teaspoon onion powder

Optional toppings: sliced green onions, diced tomatoes, sliced jalapeños, chopped cilantro
Directions:

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×9-inch or 2-quart baking dish.

Brown the meat: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until no longer pink. Drain the grease.

Season the meat: Add taco seasoning and 1/4 cup water. Simmer for 2–3 minutes until thickened. Set aside.

Prepare the base: In a large bowl, mix cream cheese, sour cream, refried beans, salsa, green chiles, 1 cup shredded cheese, garlic powder, and onion powder until smooth.

Combine: Fold the seasoned meat into the cheese mixture.

Assemble: Spread the mixture evenly in your prepared baking dish.

Top it off: Sprinkle the remaining cheese over the top.

Bake for 25–30 minutes until hot, bubbly, and golden.

Garnish and serve: Add your favorite toppings and serve warm with tortilla chips, crackers, or fresh veggies.
