Peanut Butter without Baking I serve haystacks as a quick dessert over the holidays. You’ll adore this sweet and crispy delicacy, which only requires four ingredients.
I have been making haystacks since I was a teenager, so I can’t even recall where I acquired the recipe. When I first started my family, I believe it was the first holiday treat I ever baked. I’ve been producing these consistently year after year.
Ingredients ( servings 8 – 10 )
- Butterscotch chips, 11 oz.
- Crispy chow mein noodles in a 5 oz. can
- Creamy peanut butter, 1 C.
- Salted peanuts, 1/2 cup
How To Make No-Bake Peanut Butter Haystacks
- Over low heat, add the butterscotch chips and peanut butter to a saucepan. Stir until all the ice has melted.
- Pour the mixture over the chow mein noodles and peanuts in a big mixing bowl.
- To blend, stir.
- Drop spoonfuls of the mixture quickly onto a baking sheet covered with parchment paper.
- Before serving, let the haystacks cool and stiffen.
