Ingredients:
- 1 premade 9-inch graham cracker cake crust
- 1 package (3 ounces) strawberry gelatin mix
- 1 cup boiling water
- 1/2 cup cold water
- 1 quart fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 1 cup (8 oz) whipped cream, thawed
- Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
In a large bowl, dissolve the strawberry-gelatin mixture in boiling water and stir until completely combined is dissolved.
Add the cold water and let the mixture cool for about 5 minutes.
Carefully add the sliced strawberries until they are evenly distributed.
Pour the strawberry-gelatin mixture into the pre-made graham cracker cake base and distribute evenly.
Place the cake in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours or until firm.As soon as the gelatine has set, spread the whipped icing on the cake.
Garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired.
Slice and serve cold.
