Parmesan Crusted Spiral Potatoes Recipe
Ingredients
- 4 large russet potatoes
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 2 teaspoons onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare the Potatoes:
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Wash and scrub the potatoes thoroughly. Pat them dry with a towel.
- Insert a skewer lengthwise through each potato to hold it steady.
- Using a sharp knife, carefully make spiral cuts around the potato, slicing down to the skewer but not all the way through the potato.
- Season the Potatoes:
- In a small bowl, mix together the grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, dried parsley, salt, and pepper.
- Brush each spiral-cut potato with olive oil, making sure to get oil between the slices.
- Generously sprinkle the Parmesan cheese mixture over the potatoes, making sure to coat them evenly and get the seasoning between the slices.
- Bake the Potatoes:
- Place the seasoned spiral potatoes on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-40 minutes, or until the potatoes are golden brown and crispy on the edges. Turn the potatoes halfway through the baking time to ensure even cooking.
- Serve:
- Remove the potatoes from the oven and let them cool slightly.
- Garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.
- Enjoy as a side dish or appetizer!
