Pilgrim’s Pie is a heartwarming and festive recipe that embodies the spirit of Thanksgiving in each and every bite. Ingredients:

  • Ground Turkey: 1.5 lbs
  • Onion: 1 large, finely chopped (additional half cup for stuffing)
  • Garlic: three cloves, minced (additional 1 clove for stuffing)
  • Carrots: two medium, diced
  • Celery: two stalks, diced (additional two stalks for stuffing)
  • Frozen Peas: 1 cup
  • Chicken Broth: 1 cup (additional two cups for stuffing, extra for gravy)
  • Worcestershire Sauce: 1 tablespoon
  • Tomato Paste: two tablespoons
  • Fresh Thyme: 1 teaspoon, chopped (additional 1 teaspoon for stuffing)
  • Fresh Rosemary: 1 teaspoon, chopped (additional 1 teaspoon for stuffing)
  • Salt and Pepper: to taste
  • Dried Bread Cubes: four cups (for stuffing)
  • Butter: two tablespoons (additional four tablespoons for mashed potatoes and
  • stuffing, plus extra for gravy)
  • Milk: 1 cup (for mashed potatoes)
  • Shredded Cheddar Cheese: half cup (optional, for mashed potatoes)
  • Buttered Breadcrumbs: 1 cup (for topping, optional)
  • Turkey Gravy (Optional for Serving): Prepared in accordance to bundle guidelines or homemade

Instructions:

Prepare the Stuffing:

Sauté half of cup onion, 1 clove garlic, and two stalks celery in two tablespoons of butter. Add 1 teaspoon every of thyme and rosemary. Season.
Add two cups fowl broth, deliver to a simmer.
Pour broth over four cups of dried bread cubes in a bowl, combine gently.

Preheat Oven, Prepare Baking Dish:

Preheat to 375°F (190°C). Grease a casserole dish.

Cook Turkey and Vegetables:

Brown floor turkey. Add last onion, garlic, carrots, and celery. Cook till tender.
Add 1 cup rooster broth, Worcestershire sauce, tomato paste, final thyme, and rosemary. Simmer, then add peas. Transfer to casserole dish.

Layer with Stuffing:

Spread organized stuffing over the turkey mixture.

Mashed Potatoes Layer:

Combine mashed potatoes with four tablespoons butter, milk, and cheese. Spread over stuffing. Top with breadcrumbs if desired.

Bake:

Bake for 30-40 minutes.

Prepare Turkey Gravy:

While casserole bakes, put together turkey gravy. Use a package deal combine or make home made with turkey drippings, butter, flour, and broth.

Serve:

Let the casserole cool slightly. Serve with heat turkey gravy on top.
