Ingredients
Basic Ingredients:
-
1 tube refrigerated pizza dough (or crescent dough)
-
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
-
½ cup mini pepperoni or chopped regular pepperoni
-
¼ cup pizza sauce (plus extra for dipping)
-
1 tablespoon grated Parmesan (optional)
-
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
-
Nonstick cooking spray or melted butter (for the waffle iron)
Optional Fillings:
-
Cooked sausage crumbles
-
Sliced black olives
-
Chopped bell peppers or mushrooms
-
Crushed red pepper flakes
Instructions
-
Preheat your waffle maker and grease it with cooking spray or butter.
-
Roll out the dough and cut into rectangles slightly larger than each waffle section.
-
Assemble: On one half of each rectangle, spread pizza sauce, then top with cheese, pepperoni, and any optional toppings.
-
Seal: Fold the dough over the toppings and pinch the edges to seal.
-
Cook: Place the pockets in the waffle maker and close the lid. Cook 3–5 minutes, or until golden brown and crisp.
-
Serve: Remove carefully, let cool slightly, and serve with warm marinara or pizza sauce for dipping.
Notes
-
For best results, don’t overfill—too much sauce can leak out during cooking.
-
These freeze well! Let them cool, then store in an airtight bag for up to 2 months. Reheat in an oven or air fryer.
-
Let kids build their own with their favorite toppings for a fun family activity.

Want to go homemade? You can use your own waffle batter and stuff it with fillings instead of using pre-made dough.
