Pizza Stuffed Waffle Snacks

  • Author: kecha100

Description

These Pizza Stuffed Waffle Snacks are crispy on the outside, gooey on the inside, and bursting with cheesy, saucy pizza flavor. Made with simple ingredients and a waffle maker, they’re a creative and fun twist on pizza—perfect for lunch, snacks, or game day treats.

Ingredients

Scale

Basic Ingredients:

  • 1 tube refrigerated pizza dough (or crescent dough)

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

  • ½ cup mini pepperoni or chopped regular pepperoni

  • ¼ cup pizza sauce (plus extra for dipping)

  • 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan (optional)

  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

  • Nonstick cooking spray or melted butter (for the waffle iron)

Optional Fillings:

  • Cooked sausage crumbles

  • Sliced black olives

  • Chopped bell peppers or mushrooms

  • Crushed red pepper flakes

Instructions

  • Preheat your waffle maker and grease it with cooking spray or butter.

  • Roll out the dough and cut into rectangles slightly larger than each waffle section.

  • Assemble: On one half of each rectangle, spread pizza sauce, then top with cheese, pepperoni, and any optional toppings.

  • Seal: Fold the dough over the toppings and pinch the edges to seal.

  • Cook: Place the pockets in the waffle maker and close the lid. Cook 3–5 minutes, or until golden brown and crisp.

  • Serve: Remove carefully, let cool slightly, and serve with warm marinara or pizza sauce for dipping.

Notes

  • For best results, don’t overfill—too much sauce can leak out during cooking.

  • These freeze well! Let them cool, then store in an airtight bag for up to 2 months. Reheat in an oven or air fryer.

  • Let kids build their own with their favorite toppings for a fun family activity.

  • Want to go homemade? You can use your own waffle batter and stuff it with fillings instead of using pre-made dough.
