This poor man’s ribs recipe is truly the best way to make a pot roast. This makes a cheap piece of meat taste like ribs! Delicate and delicious!
- 3 pounds Round Beef Ear Roast
- 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
- 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Preheat the oven to 260 degrees C (500 degrees F). Season the roast with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and chopped onion; and place in a baking dish or pan. Do not cover or add water.
- Put the roast in the preheated oven. Reduce temperature to 245°C.Cook for 21 minutes (seven minutes per pound), then turn off the oven and leave the roast in the hot oven for 2 1/2 hours. Under no circumstances should you open the door during this time!
- Remove the roast from the oven; the internal temperature must reach at least 65 degrees C. Cut into thin slices and serve.
