Pork Chop Casserole Recipe
Ingredients:
- 6 boneless pork chops
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 can (6 oz) French fried onions
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon paprika
Instructions:
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Prepare Pork Chops: Season the pork chops with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika on both sides.
- Layer Pork Chops: Place the seasoned pork chops in a single layer in a greased baking dish.
- Mix Creamy Topping: In a bowl, combine sour cream, cream of mushroom soup, shredded cheddar cheese, and dried thyme. Mix until well combined.
- Spread Topping: Evenly spread the creamy mixture over the pork chops in the baking dish.
- Add Fried Onions: Sprinkle the French fried onions on top of the creamy mixture.
- Bake: Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the pork chops are cooked through and the topping is golden brown and bubbly.
