To make delicious and fluffy potato bread, follow this recipe:

Ingredients:

– 1 cup mashed potatoes (cooled)
– 1 cup warm water
– 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
– 1/4 cup sugar
– 1/4 cup vegetable oil
– 1 teaspoon salt
– 4-5 cups bread flour

Instructions:

1. In a large mixing bowl, dissolve the yeast in warm water. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until it becomes frothy.
2. Add the mashed potatoes, sugar, vegetable oil, and salt to the yeast mixture. Mix well.
3. Gradually add the bread flour, one cup at a time, mixing well after each addition. Keep adding flour until the dough comes together and is slightly sticky.
4. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead for about 8-10 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.
5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1-1.5 hours, or until doubled in size.
6. Punch down the dough and shape it into a loaf. Place the dough in a greased loaf pan.
7. Cover the loaf pan with a kitchen towel and let the dough rise for another 30-45 minutes.
8. Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C).
9. Bake the bread in the preheated oven for about 30-35 minutes, or until it is golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom.
10. Remove the bread from the oven and let it cool on a wire rack before slicing.
