Seasoned Oyster Crackers

Ingredients:
- 1 package (10-12 oz) oyster crackers
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil or melted butter
- 1 packet (1 oz) ranch dressing mix
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon dried dill weed
- 1 tablespoon poppy seeds (optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat Oven:
- Preheat your oven to 250°F (120°C).
- Prepare Seasoning Mix:
- In a small bowl, combine the ranch dressing mix, garlic powder, onion powder, dried dill weed, and poppy seeds if using.
- Coat Crackers:
- Place the oyster crackers in a large mixing bowl. Drizzle with vegetable oil or melted butter. Toss to coat the crackers evenly.
- Add Seasoning:
- Sprinkle the seasoning mix over the coated oyster crackers. Toss well to ensure all crackers are evenly seasoned.
- Bake:
- Spread the seasoned crackers in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or foil. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, stirring halfway through, until the crackers are golden and crispy.
- Cool:
- Remove the baking sheet from the oven and let the crackers cool completely.
- Serve:
- Serve the seasoned oyster crackers as a snack or as a crunchy topping for soups and salads.
